Mandatory Warden Welcome Talk
Tuesday 22 September 6pm - 8pm
Conference Auditorium 1
Mandatory Talk followed by free burgers at Montague Burton
There is wheelchair access into this room via vertical platform lift. Entry is to the front of the auditorium and there are four waiting spaces for wheelchairs with swing-out, height adjustable resting surfaces.
Seating is tiered and fixed and there are no arm rests on the chairs.
Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor of the building to the right of the entrance.
How the event will run: This talk from your Residence Life Warden involves a presentation for approximately an hour which explains important information about living in residences, support and opportunities.
This will be followed by free burgers back at Montague Burton courtyard.
This talk is mandatory for all residents.
This mandatory talk should be attended by all residents.
This talk will include key information about your halls & safety in your halls, and you will have a chance to get to know your Warden.
You must stay for the duration of the talk, but you are welcome to leave after.

Find mini mole figures and win prizes!
You will be sent clues before the day via your University email. You will need to find small mole figurines around Montague Burton from 9 am. You will then return them to your Residence Life Assistants between 2 and 4 pm in the common room to win a prize! You can do this in a group or on your own... good luck!
Monty's Curry Club: Boardgame Night
Thursday 17 September, 6pm - 8pm
Montague Burton Common Room
Join in for a relaxed evening of boardgames and curry whilst meeting people from your residence.
This event is optional, and students can arrive any time between 6 pm and 8 pm. The curry will be provided by 'Vegan Spice', so it will be Vegan. A variety of board games will be available in the common room for students to enjoy. You can leave the event at any point. Residence Life Assistants will be there to meet students.
Note: Food will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
Monty's Welcome Bash!
Sunday 20 September, 1pm - 3pm
Montague Burton Courtyard
Join in for Monty's biggest event! Get free food and meet new people.
This event is optional, and students can arrive any time between 1 pm and 3 pm.
There will be a BBQ, an ice cream van, refreshments and music! Residence Life Assistants will be there to meet students and talk to them about life at Montague Burton. You can leave the event at any point.
Please note: food and drink are served on a first-come, first-served basis.
Monty's Meet and Walk to the All Halls LGBTQ+ Mixer
Wednesday 23 September, 3.30pm - 6pm

We will meet and walk over to the Residence Life LGBTQ+ Mixer in Leeds University Union.
Monty's Craft and Create: Door Decorations
Thursday 24 September, 2pm - 4pm

We will be creating decorations you can hang on your doors. This event is free, and you don't need to bring anything along. You can leave this event at any time.
