About the Site

Residence Life at Leeds is all about making your experience in halls the best it can be.  

Our dedicated Residence Life team organise events when you first move in and throughout the year to help you settle in and enjoy university! The Residence Life team is also here to offer you advice, guidance and support during your time in halls through our wonderful Residence Life Wardens and Residence Life Assistants (RLAs). 

This website is your guide to all things Residence Life. On it you’ll be able to find out about our events, who to contact if you need any help or support, the essential things you need to know about living in halls and guides on how to make the most of your time at University and in Leeds! 

Finding your way around  

Your Hall 

Here you can find info specific to your halls. Whether that’s upcoming events just for your halls, site office opening hours or just who your Residence Life Warden is.  

Events 

Throughout your time in halls we’ll have a full programme of exciting events to help you settle in, meet new people and try something new. As well as this we have Residence Life Social Committees at most halls. These are student-run committes you can get involved in that receive a budget from us to provide events for their specific halls.  

On this section you’ll be able to see all the events that we’ve got coming up and book onto them when required. 

Wellbeing & Support  

We want you to love your time in halls. We know that sometimes everyone needs a bit of help, so we ensure that there is always support available whenever you need it. You can find out about all the support on offer and how to contact them in this part of the site.  

Life in Leeds 

We’re proud to be based in and part of an amazing city like Leeds – and we want you to be too! There’s so much going on both in the city and in the wider Yorkshire region, and we’ll tell you all about it here. 

Lifestyle 

We know that for many of you this may be your first time living away from home or in the UK. But don’t worry, we’re here to help you develop new skills and be prepared for wherever life takes you. This section of the site will give you lots of tips on important things like shopping, cooking and generally how to make the most out of student life! 

Essential Info 

We want everyone to be able to make the most of their time in halls. That’s why we have created some fantastic leadership opportunities. You can join your Residence Life Social Committee or apply to be a Residence Life Assistant in later years. You can find out more about both in this section.
