Mandatory Warden Welcome Talk

Wednesday 30 September, 6.30pm - 10pm

Entry to venue: There is a wheelchair accessible lift to enter Conference Auditorium 1. The porter on site will be able to assist with the lift if required. 

Accessible Toilets: Accessible toilet facilities are located on the ground floor to the left as you enter.

Quiet space if needed:  Conference Auditorium Foyer

This mandatory talk should be attended by all residents. This talk will include key information about your halls & safety in your halls, and you will have a chance to get to know your warden. You must stay for the duration of the talk, but you are welcome to leave after. The event will be followed by a Burger Van at Carlton Hill with vegan options - food is first come, first served.

Speed Friending

Sunday 13 September, 7pm-9pm

Carlton Hill Reception

You will be paired with another resident and be given a prompt question to answer in your pair.

After the timer runs out, you will move onto another person with a different question.

Snacks will be provided at this event and please note that food will be first come first served.

Names and Mates

Wednesday 16 September, 7pm - 9pm

Carlton Hill Reception

This event will allow you to interact with your residents and make connections.

You will be socialising with residents.

You are welcome to join or leave at any time.

Welcome to Carlton Hill: Social Mixer

Sunday 20 September, 7pm - 9pm

Carlton Hill Reception

This social event will provide food and allow you to meet others in your halls as well as your Residence Life Assistants.

You are welcome to join or leave at any time but please note that food will be first come first served

Tote-bag Decorating

Tuesday 22 September, 7pm - 9pm

Carlton Hill Reception

This chill craft event will allow you to decorate your own tote bag, and interact with other residents

You are welcome to leave/join at any point but please note our craft supplies are limited and this event will be first come first served.

Language Zone Workshop

Wednesday 23 September, 5pm - 7pm

Carlton Hill Reception

This event will include a short talk from the Language Zone, explaining what they do and how students can get involved. This workshop will include activities for your to complete in groups too.
