Results day can be both exciting and nerve-wracking, we're hear to share some useful information about what to expect on the day with accommodation at the University of Leeds
On the day
You'll receive your results from your school or college in the morning. Most results are automatically sent to UCAS, so you normally don't need to send them yourself.
If UCAS confirms that you've been accepted by the University of Leeds, your accommodation application can continue to be processed.
If you've already applied for accommodation before the deadline, you don't need to do anything immediately. The accommodation team will contact you about room allocations and next steps before you arrive in September.
If you applied by 1 July deadline and chose us as your firm option we will begin to allocate your accommodation after your offer with the University becomes unconditional, usually on results day.
You don't need to contact us if you have already applied for accommodation with us. If you have applied for accommodation after the 1 July deadline it can take time for us to identify if we have availability, so please be patient.
You will hear from us, but this may be the week before you are due to arrive in September.
If you originally chose us as your insurance option but we are now your firm choice you will be guaranteed accommodation should you apply by 31 August.

Waiting for your accommodation offer
After your place at Leeds is confirmed, there may be a short wait while accommodation allocations are finalised.
This is completely normal. During this period, make sure to:
- Check your emails regularly.
- Monitor your accommodation portal.
- Respond promptly to any requests for information.
- Read details about arrival and move-in arrangements when they are sent.
If you don't get your preferred residence
It's important to remember that accommodation is allocated based on availability, so you may not always receive your first-choice residence.
If you do not get your preferred residence we will work to ensure your offer meets your most important preference.
Many students discover that they enjoy accommodation they hadn't originally considered, and all Leeds residences offer opportunities to meet new people and become part of the University community.
Top tip for Results Day
Once your place is confirmed, don't panic if you haven't heard about accommodation immediately.
Focus on celebrating your results, keep an eye on your emails, and follow the instructions sent by the accommodation team.
Most accommodation queries can be answered through the accommodation portal or university communications, which are updated throughout the summer.
