What are Event Buddies?

Event Buddies are students we pair you with to attend Residence Life events. Your paired buddy is based off your interests and preferences, as outlined in the sign up form.

Together you'll be able to attend our events and make new memories!

How does it work?

We will consider any preferences or interests you may have stated based on the responses from the Microsoft form you filled in, and then use this information to pair you with another student who has signed up for the scheme with similar interests.

Preferences include things such as: prefering to be paired with a buddy of the same gender, or someone in the same accommodation as you. Interests may include your hobbies or event types you particularly enjoy.

The only information that will be shared with your paired buddy will be your name and email address.

Once we email you the name & email address of your buddy, you are welcome to reach out to them and communicate however you wish. You will be able to attend events with them!

Our event buddy scheme aims to match likeminded students together, and by getting involved you're not only able to make new friends but also make new memories through attending a wide range of social events!
