Trying to connect to the Wi-Fi? Check out our guide!

Setting up your Wi-Fi

In most of our halls there are two different Wi-Fi networks you can connect to. The residences wireless personal network (WPN) gives you faster internet access similar to what you might have at your home address. You will be able to connect wireless devices such as printers and smart speakers through this network, and even allow temporary internet access for visitors.

Connect to the Wi-Fi

1. Visit our campus login page: leeds.campuswifi.net

2. Click Continue.

3. Login using your University username and password.

4. Click on the eye symbol to see your current WPA2 password - this is unique to your login.

5. Connect your device to the residences wireless network e.g. <RESIDENCENAME>_WPN using the WPA2 password.

Connect with an Ethernet cable

1. Connect your device to the access point in your room using a network/Ethernet cable.

2. Log into the campus login page WPA2 Registration Portal (see link above).

3. Under “Manage Wired Device(s)” add your wired device MAC address - including a name and device description will help you keep track of your registered devices.

Eduroam

You will also be able to connect to Eduroam, which is the wireless network in use across the rest of campus. You can find instructions to connect to this network here. If you are staying at some of our partner sites (Carlton Hill, Hepworth Lodge, Royal Park Flats or White Rose View) then you will have a different internet provider. Your site team will provide you with information on how to connect to your network.
