I am the Residence Life Warden at St. Mark's Residences. Me and the rest of the team are looking forward to welcoming you to St Mark's in the next few weeks.
St. Mark's is a large site with students from all over the world, which makes for a cosmopolitan and vibrant community. You will be able to contribute to this by getting involved with the Residence Life Social Committee and organising some exciting and inclusive events throughout the year.
One of our first events will be the Welcome Meeting on Thursday 21st September, when you will have the chance to meet me and the other members of the St Mark's team and find out all about life at St Mark's.
My role as Warden at St Mark's is to ensure that there is a supportive community so that each resident can make the most of their time and studies at Leeds.
I am helped by four Residence Life Assistants, one of whom, is available each night, during term time, should you have any problems. The contact number is on the notice board in your bedroom, along with other useful phone numbers and essential information about living at St Mark's.
During term time I will be available at Reception on Wednesdays between 5 and 6 pm for a chat or to discuss any matters about your life at St. Mark's. I've been a Warden at the University for many years now and I work in the School of Design, teaching photography.
St Mark's is a great place to live and study and I look forward to welcoming you here in the next few weeks.
- Mike Anderson, Warden for St. Mark's Residence
