Join us for a day of wild construction as we help to protect the natural beauty of Ledston Luck Local Nature Reserve.
Formerly a coal pit, Ledston Luck is now a thriving expanse of woodland, meadow areas, and a picturesque pond.
Date: Wednesday 18 February
Time: 9am - 4pm (Hot drinks and lunch will be provided)
Location: Ledston Luck Local Nature Reserve
Travel: We will provide travel to and from the Reserve, more information will be provided once you have signed up.
What to expect
On the day we will be busy clearing scrub and using the materials to make a dead hedge around the pond, creating a protective boundary that will keep the pond safe from pollutants and playful pups.
What to wear
We recommend wearing layers, long sleeve tops, long trousers, sturdy shoes, and waterproof clothing!
Don't let a lack of appropriate footwear deter you! If you don’t have sturdy boots or shoes, the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust may be able to provide wellington boots for the day.
