What is Pancake Day?

Pancake day (or 'Shrove Tuesday') is the traditional feast day traditional feast day before 'Ash Wednesday', a Christian holiday signalling the beginning of Lent.

Shrove Tuesday always falls 47 days before Easter, typically between February and March. As eggs and fat were historically not eaten throughout Lent, Shrove Tuesday was the perfect opportunity to use them up, making pancakes before fasting.

How to get your pancakes?

Pancakes will be available to order from Refectory order screens all day on 17 February, you can choose to either eat in or takeaway.
