Warden Welcome: Asha Oguri

Posted 3 months ago

Welcome to Blenheim Point… I can’t wait to meet you!

My name is Asha Oguri, and I am your Residence Life Warden at Blenheim Point. Blenheim Point is (and I promise, I am not biased) a fantastic hall of residence, with a great sense of community.  You will be living nice and close to the University’s campus and supported by a fantastic team of four Residence Life Assistants (RLAs).

A little about me… I am originally from London and moved to Leeds for my undergraduate degree in BA Social Policy. I graduated in 2019, and never left! I love Leeds and I hope you will too.  If you are interested in what your new home city has to offer, check out Residence Life’s Student Life in Leeds guides and get excited 😊

In short, myself and the RLAs are here to ensure you make the most of your time at Blenheim Point.  We are here to help you navigate your new home city and meet new people, and our aim is always to make Blenheim Point your ‘home away from home’.  If you ever face anything that troubles you or if you just need a friendly face to talk to - we are here to help.

During your time at Blenheim Point, I encourage you to consider joining our Social Committee.  Last year’s Social Committee had a great time making a real impact on our community at Blenheim Point.  From Cinema nights to game nights and pizza parties, to dog therapy sessions… it is a real opportunity to develop your skills, whilst having fun!

Do follow our Instagram page to keep up to date with our upcoming social events!

I will see you soon… in your first few weeks at Blenheim Point (19th-24th of September, between 6-8 pm), I will be popping by your flat to meet you in person and run you through all things Blenheim Point.

I can’t wait to get to know you and talk more then.

Asha 😊
