International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
Marked annually on March 8, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to:
- celebrate women's achievements
- educate and awareness raise about women's equality
- call for positive change advancing women
- lobby for accelerated gender parity
- fundraise for women-focused charities

The Ellerslie/Lyddon Social Committee are hosting an amazing panel on the this years theme: 'If giving power is the only way to multiply it, what are we willing to give up today to gain a more equitable tomorrow?'
During the event you will get to be a part of a candid conversation with five brilliant guest speakers on this year's International Women's Day theme, "Give to Gain."
This discussion focuses on the practical exchange of power and opportunity needed to achieve gender equity.
There will be free coffee and cake throughout the event
