Our team work hard to ensure that your central Residence Life events go ahead, as well as overseeing the events at your halls and the support network we provide. Find out more about us below!

Sarah Djuric, Residence Life Manager

Studied: Masters of Education, Specialization in Student Affairs

Favourite place in Leeds: Kirkgate Market – I love going there every Saturday to pick up my fruit and veg for the week, it’s also a great place to grab lunch or a sweet treat.  I also love going there for the vintage market every month.

Fun facts: I moved over to the UK from Canada in 2022 to join the Residence Life Team at the University of Leeds.  I am a big fan of camping, canoeing, snowshoeing and hiking. Since moving here I’ve started playing Women’s Rugby, and try to get outside of the city to go on lots of walks – usually in the Dales or the Peak District!

Favourite place in Leeds: Any Rudy's or Head Of Steam in Leeds. Shout out to the The Myrtle Tavern for summer drinks!

Fun Facts: Leeds is my fifth city to live and work in (and is the best so far!). I am a Chelsea fan due to my Nan's dog being called Chelsea when I was young (luckily the dog wasn't called Accrington Stanley). I love asking people what they have had for tea. Currently looking for any excuse to climb more mountains.

Favourite Place in Leeds: Leeds Dock - I love running down the canal and looking at all the cute canal boats! 

Fun Facts: I like to spend 4 hours doing nail art on my nails every two weeks, I am a foodie so I can tell you about where the best places are to eat in Leeds,  I love to run - I ran Leeds Half Marathon this year, and I am going to run the Lisbon Half Marathon and Hackney Half Marathon in 2026

Favourite Place in Leeds: Book club is one of my favourite places for a coffee, a beer, or a gig! I also adore Brudenell as they have Vimto on tap!

Fun facts: I recently won first place at the poetry competition 'Slam of the North', I have a mild addiction to chips that are extremely over salted, and I teach the kids in my village how to maypole at our summer fete each year!

Favourite Place in Leeds: The Royal Armouries - I'm a huge history nerd so I love seeing all the different exhibits they put on!

Fun facts: I have a bit of an obsession with hamsters - I currently have a Syrian hamster called Mochi and I even have a hamster tattoo to remember my late hamster 'Taco'!
