If you’re looking for things to do in the city while enjoying the sun this Summer, there are plenty of events that happen every year in Leeds.

Leeds Festival 

Every year over 80,000 music lovers venture to Bramham Park in Leeds to enjoy a weekend of incredible performances from artists covering a range of different genres.  

Whether you’re into rock and indie music, or you’re a fan of electronic or pop, there are around 10 stages to explore and enjoy. The festival usually takes place over the bank holiday weekend at the end of August and is a firm favourite with Leeds locals.  

Leeds West Indian Carnival

As one of the longest-running Caribbean carnivals in the UK, the Leeds West Indian Carnival is a date to have in your diary.  

The event has been running for over 50 years and showcases the city's diverse culture through colourful parades, mesmerizing music, dance performances, and incredible Caribbean cuisine.  

Leeds Pride

If you’re looking to celebrate Pride this year, Leeds has an amazing celebration of all things LGBTQ+ every year! With a colourful and vibrant parade through the city, performances on the main stage at Millennium Square, and stalls to explore there is plenty for all to experience.  

The event is a celebration of love, acceptance, and unity, and takes over the city centre completely. Pride is free to attend, so if you’re looking to celebrate, get involved and fly your flag!  

Millennium Square Summer Series 

Fancy going to an outdoor gig? Head over to the iconic Millennium Square for their Summer Series, a range of concerts and cultural events happening in the centre.  

Grab a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere in the heart of Leeds through July and August.
