Photo competition winners announced!

Posted 5 days ago

Back in April, we hosted a Spring photography competition

We are delighted to announce that the results are in!

With so many fantastic entries submitted it was no easy task for our amazing judge Mike Anderson, a lecturer in photography at the University of Leeds, to choose his favourites.

1st place

After some careful deliberation of all the submissions, we are delighted to announce that the winner is Li Chit Khim Karyn, with a stunning shot that captured the spirit of the season!

In this well composed photograph the photographer has captured a beautiful spring scene. The broken spring sunshine is captured, playing along the carpet of bluebells on the forest floor.

Li's work will be displayed in the Charles Morris reception area.

2nd place

Our first runner-up, Goyanki Phukan, has taken a beautifully composed image, creating depth in the photograph drawing the viewers eye along the path and into the distance.

3rd place

In 3rd place, Cheryl Jeng Wee Sim took a photo with interesting use of the foliage to frame the Great Hall in the background with the inclusion of the strikingly coloured flowers in the foreground.

Congratulations to all of our shortlisted entries, and thank you to everyone who entered! We loved looking at all of your entries and were blown away by the sheer talent of our halls students.
