Find out who to contact in an emergency or if you need help.
Depending on the kind of emergency, there are different people you may contact:
- Local emergency services: call 0113 343 2222 on campus, or 999 off campus (police, fire, ambulance, coastguard)
- Your GP at home or abroad (see below for Leeds Student Medical Practice)
- Samaritans: call 116 123 (free from the UK or Ireland)
- Or go to the Accident & Emergency department of your local hospital
- Your exchange coordinator at your host university
- For civil unrest, natural disasters or being arrested, you may need to seek assistance from the British Consulate
- Don't forget to keep family and the Study Abroad office informed of your situation
