Get involved and help maintain our local green spaces!

Our team will be working with Groundwork Yorkshire at our very own site, the North Hill Well Wood, to help complete further work on the outdoor wellbeing space for students and staff of the University. The work you'll get involved in can vary but includes planting hedges and trees, repairing steps and pathways and helping to install or construct water features for animals or handrails for visitors.

To get involved, please complete the registration form below:

The session will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on 17 March at North Hill Well Wood, which is located just behind our North Hill Court residence.  The session will include a break for lunch.

Lunch and hot drinks are provided, and there's access to a toilet in nearby North Hill Court.  We recommend that you wear long trousers and tops, sturdy shoes and waterproof clothing.  We also recommend that you bring a bottle of water with you.

This event is not suitable for students who use wheelchairs or who experience limited mobility.

What to expect: This trip is a voluntary work day on a University owned natural area. The work you'll get involved in can vary but includes planting hedges and trees, repairing steps and pathways and helping to install or construct water features for animals or handrails for visitors.
