Walk Information
Starting from near Chatsworth House, we will set off walking through the Derbyshire Peak District to Chatsworth Estate stopping regularly to appreciate the views and points of interest. The route will take you to the entrance of Chatsworth House and into the grounds of the estate as the large mansion, famous as a filming location for films and programmes such as Pride and Prejudice and Peaky Blinders, creates an impressive sight in this beautiful landscape. We will have some time to explore some of the 1000-acre parkland or have a snack or drink.
We will then walk into the stunning town of Bakewell, home of the world-famous pudding, where participants will be able to enjoy some free time exploring the town before departing back to Leeds. The trip will offer two walking options- there will be a shorter walk for those wanting to take the walk at a slower pace and explore Bakewell more. The longer walk will explore more of the route surrounding Bakewell and Chatsworth.
Please note this trip will take you into the grounds of the Chatsworth Estate but does not include access to the gardens or house itself due to high cost and time constraints.
