Find out how to collect post and parcels in residence

Residential Services Postal Service

Residential Services will place your mail in your designated post box Monday to Friday. There are no deliveries on weekends, Bank Holidays, or days when the University is closed.

Any cards, parcels, registered letters, or anything marked as “private and confidential” are kept at reception for you to collect during office opening times. The site team will send an email to your ‘active’ email address when you have an item to collect. To collect these items, you will be asked to show your student ID card or another suitable means of photo identification, before items can be issued to you.

To ensure you receive an efficient service we also ask residents to be aware of the following:

Collection & Delivery

  • Site Staff are unable to issue mail to a person who is not the named recipient.
  • Site Staff will not accept delivery of any mail where the recipient is not registered as living at that address.  Always ensure your recipient address details are correct.
  •  Site staff may accept home cooking boxes such as Hello Fresh, Gusto etc. but they must be collected on the same day as the day of delivery. If they are not collected, they will be disposed of.
  • If you have arranged for a parcel / package to be collected by a courier service, please be aware that Residential Services accept no liability for any indirect or consequential loss or damage to the parcel / package however caused, even if foreseeable. We also ask that you return to reception on the day of scheduled collection to confirm that the parcel / package has been collected. If the courier has failed to collect your parcel / package, you are responsible for making alternative arrangements and advising the site office.
  • At the end of your contract and for up to two weeks after the end of term, we can receive mail on your behalf and forward it to you if you leave a stamped addressed envelope with the site office.  After two weeks, we will return any mail to the sender.
