Explore Black History around Leeds
Join us this October to celebrate Black History Month around Leeds! We have hidden tokens around relevant locations, its over to you to go and find them!
How this event will run
You will be able to visit each location listed below on the designated dates. These locations are either Black-Owned Businesses, hold Black History, or are spaces for Black Students. You can mention you are part of the Residence Life Black History Month Scavenger Hunt, and then redeem your token. Each location has LUU tokens, which can be used across all LUU food and shop outlets. The first students to visit these sites will be eligible for the tokens. Some outlets have food vouchers instead of tokens, and Tuesday you are required to send a video of the sculpture as evidence of visiting.
We also have an article about Black History in Leeds & a Black Student Life in Leeds Guide.
